Abstract

The invention relates to a device and method for detecting indexing accuracy of a rotary disc in a disc tool changer and belongs to the field of performance detection of functional components of numerically-controlled machine tools. By analyzing the mechanical structure of the disc tool changer, a rotary disc shaft and a connecting shaft are designed for installing and fixing an encoder; and an inner ring of the encoder rotates by a circle, and a fixed number of square-wave signals are send out and collected through a data collecting card. A digital control system is operated to control action of the tool changer, so that after an appointed tool arrives in a tool changing position, the encoder detects the deviation angle of the center of a tool sleeve where the tool is located relative to the centerline. Collected data are analyzed, stored, processed and displayed on a computer. The problem that the indexing accuracy of the rotary disc in the disc tool changer is hard to detect is solved, and certain experimental data are provided for tool changer manufacturing enterprises.
