Problems solved by technology

The second is improper cultivation techniques, resulting in weak plant growth or excessive vegetative growth, resulting in insufficient nutrition for the fruit and the melon
Under normal circumstances, the rate of empty seedlings in watermelon fields is 3%-5%, and it can be as high as 10% in special years, seriously affecting watermelon production and planting benefits
At present, the occurrence of watermelon "empty seedlings" is mainly prevented and controlled by measures such as strengthening environmental regulation and water and fertilizer management. Although these measures can reduce the incidence of watermelon "empty seedlings" to a certain extent, they cannot fundamentally solve the "empty seedlings" of watermelons. Seedling" cultivation problem

Embodiment

[0021] Such as figure 1 As shown, adopt the fruit grafting technique in the present embodiment to grow into the plant of watermelon fruit, comprise 4 parts, 1 is the stem tendril that acceptor watermelon is grafted, 2 is the grafting clip that is fixed after grafting, and 3 is acceptor watermelon The site of grafting with the donor watermelon fruit stalk, 4 is the donor watermelon fruit stalk, and 5 is the fruit grown after successful grafting. The results are shown in Table 1 for the survival rate, fruit growth period, and single fruit weight after grafting of the fruit grafting technique in the present embodiment.

Abstract

Provided is a grafting method of watermelon fruits, and the processing steps comprises (1) cutting donor watermelon fruits 3-4 centimeters away from the carpopodium with a blade during a period when the watermelon fruits are suitable for grafting; (2) transferring quickly to empty seedling plant position; (3) cutting the cross section of the carpopodium into a bevel with the blade; (4) cutting off vines used for grafting and stem nodes which have the same diameters with the carpopodium of the watermelon fruits on the empty seedling at the same time and cutting into bevels which are identical to the bevel at the end of the capopodium of the watermelon fruits with the blade; (5) aligning and faying the two bevels immediately and fixing with a grafting clip; (6) afterwards using a mulching film to cover the grafting part and the fruits to preserve moisture, and using a sunshade material to conduct sunshade and cooling, and recovering normal water and fertilizer management after 7-8 days. Compared with prior seedling growing and grafting technique, the grafting method of watermelon fruits of the invention is characterized by using fruits needed to be cut off on the plants to conduct grafting with vines on the empty seedlings to form commercial fruits, which fundamentally resolves cultivation problem of 'empty seedling' of watermelons and fills up the blank of a new grafting method of watermelons.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a watermelon grafting method, in particular to a watermelon fruit grafting method. Background technique [0002] Watermelon "empty seedlings" refers to the phenomenon that the female flowers on watermelon plants turn into melons due to poor development, resulting in no melons sitting on the plants. Watermelon "empty seedlings" is a major physiological obstacle to high-quality and high-yield watermelon cultivation. There are many reasons for watermelon "empty seedlings", mainly including the following aspects: First, adverse climatic factors affect the flower bud differentiation or the female flowers cannot be pollinated and fertilized normally, resulting in the abnormal development of the ovary and the melon. The second is improper cultivation technology measures, resulting in weak plant growth or excessive vegetative growth, resulting in insufficient nutrition for fruits and melons. Under normal circumstances, the rate of emp...
