A movement track of an infrared moving object is modeled, and thermodynamic analysis and temperature distribution simulation are carried out on the modeled infrared moving object; the infrared radiation amount of the infrared moving object is calculated and obtained according to a result of temperature distribution simulation of the infrared moving object; the infrared radiation amount in the atmosphere transmission process is calculated and obtained; and the radiation energy, of the infrared object, received by an area-array staring detection system, reaching an expected using effect is calculated and obtained, namely, the maximal operating distance that can be detected by infrared detection system for the infrared moving object is obtained. The detection accuracy and instantaneity of the infrared moving object are improved, and searching, detecting and tracking for the infrared moving object can meet requirements.
