Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-temporal remote sensing image change detection method based on adaptive chi-squared transform (CST). Firstly, a differential image for a multi-temporal multispectral image is calculated, and on the basis, an adaptive method is used for estimating the mean value and the variance matrix of Gaussian distribution; the CST value of each point on the image is then calculated, an optimal threshold is found out based on an iterative method, and thus, the non-change area mean value and the variance matrix obtained after segmentation of the optimal threshold are the closest to results of adaptive estimation; and on the basis of the optimal segmentation threshold, a final change detection result is acquired. The adaptive chi-squared transform method is adopted to overcome influences brought by complicated background information and serious noise interference of the multi-temporal multispectral remote sensing image in the existing change detection technology.
