The invention discloses a method and a device for removing a mesh watermark from an identification photo, a face verification method and device. The method for removing the mesh watermark comprises the steps of: acquiring the identification photo for face identification, wherein the face on the identification photo is covered by the fixed mesh watermark; acquiring a fixed mesh watermark template generated by a watermark analysis and image processing algorithm based on a plurality of identification photos with fixed mesh watermarks; and removing the fixed mesh watermark from the identification photo for face identification via the fixed mesh watermark template, thus reducing face information of the original identification photo. Compared with a traditional deep learning method for removing a mesh watermark, the method for removing the fixed mesh watermark from the identification photo via the fixed mesh watermark template has the advantages of high processing efficiency and short processing time, and removes the watermark information more thoroughly, thereby improving the reliability of face verification later.
