Abstract

The invention discloses an in-band management networking method for GM equipment. A service interface and a management interface of the GM equipment are logically fused into a physical interface; a PTP service message and a network management message are sent to OTN equipment through the same physical interface; the two messages are identified at the side of the OTN equipment; the PTP service message is processed and sent according to PTP protocol standards; the network management message is sent to a central network management system; the network management message is coded according to the standard UDP protocol format; and thus, a set of central network manager can simultaneously perform network element management of the OTN equipment and the GM equipment. According to the in-band management networking method for the GM equipment disclosed by the invention, the service interface and the management interface of the GM equipment are logically fused into the physical interface; therefore, the fact that a set of central network manager can simultaneously perform network element management of the OTN equipment and the GM equipment can be effectively realized; and thus, the operating cost is obviously reduced.
