The ozone assisted cutting device comprises a sealed protection device provided with a cutting platform, a to-be-cut electrode slice put on the cutting platform, a laser processing device arranged to face the electrode slice and an ozone generating device arranged to face the laser processing device, wherein the laser processing device is used for producing laser beams for cutting the electrode slice, and the ozone generating device is used for producing ozone blown towards the laser cutting device and making electrode slice slag left after laser beam cutting oxidized so as to prevent slag accumulation from causing electrode slice short circuit. In addition, the invention further provides an ozone assisted cutting method.
