A water decoction of the Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum Baijiu has an inhibiting effect on spontaneous contraction of isolated guinea pig ileum and has a resisting effect on spasmodic contraction caused by histamine and acetyl choline. Decocting Baijiu deposit liquid can obviously relieve an intestinal propulsion effect of mice caused by neostigmine, so that an effect of relieving spasm of smooth muscle is achieved.
