Abstract

The invention discloses a storage tank for storing an organic liquid hydrogen storage material and a method. The hydrogenated organic liquid hydrogen storage material is poured into a tank body, and a temperature adjustment device is controlled so that the temperature can be higher than the melting point of the organic liquid hydrogen storage material and lower than the melting point of a dehydrogenation material; then, the organic liquid hydrogen storage material is extracted for a dehydrogenation reaction; the dehydrogenated material is sent back into the tank body; whether the dehydrogenation reaction is ended or not is judged, if the dehydrogenation reaction is ended, extraction is stopped, and the organic liquid hydrogen storage material and the dehydrogenation material are jointly stored in the tank body; and if the dehydrogenation reaction is not ended, the organic liquid hydrogen storage material is extracted continuously for the dehydrogenation reaction, and the dehydrogenation material is thrown back into the tank body till the organic liquid hydrogen storage material is exhausted or the dehydrogenation reaction is completed. Due to the fact that the temperature adjustment device is arranged outside the storage tank, the storage tank can store the materials of two states simultaneously, and the problems that a dehydrogenation device for the organic liquid hydrogen storage material is complex in structure and large in size are solved.
