Abstract

The invention provides a solid state disk data encryption method and system. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a PIN code; according to PIN, generating a medium key; configuring the medium key in an encryption engine key register; and performing encryption or decryption on user data according to the medium key, wherein the PIN code includes a user PIN code and a default PIN code used for unlocking an encrypted region and a public region respectively, and the medium key is configured to perform encryption or decryption on the data. According to the solid state disk data encryption method provided by the invention, the occupation of calculation resources of a host in the encryption process is reduced through hardware encryption; quick switching among multiple partitions is supported; and the problems of low efficiency and no support of quick switching among the partitions in a conventional encryption method are solved.
