Abstract

The invention discloses a brightness compensating method of a perspective device. Firstly a brightness model is provided, and the overall response of the brightness model is equal with summation of response of device light from the perspective device and response of scene light from a scene. In a conversion domain calibrating period, the characteristic of the device is captured relative to the images of a projector and the perspective device. In a compensation executing period, response of the original image is acquired in a dark room, and then the response of the compensating image is determined according to the response of the original image and the response of the scene light. Then a compensating image is generated according to the response of the compensating image.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to photometric compensation, in particular to a method and system for photometric compensation of a see-through device. Background technique [0002] See-through smart glasses (smart glasses), as a tool for augmented reality, allow users to receive additional information about the surrounding world through images projected by embedded projectors. Users can see the projected image and the real world scene. Because the augmented visual information is digitally manipulated, it can generate interesting and interactive user experiences. [0003] The tiny projectors in most smart glasses are far less powerful than traditional projectors. When the projected image mixes with the scene and illuminates the user's retina, if the irradiance of the projector is the same as or smaller than that of the scene light, it is easy to cause photometric distortion. This brightness distortion is a major determinant of the quality of smart gla...
