Problems solved by technology

[0015] The aforementioned yarn splicing devices have proven themselves in practice, but have the disadvantage that in the case of said yarn splicing devices there is always the possibility that part of the added yarn twist does not enter the piecing during the yarn splicing process but is lost danger

Embodiment Construction

[0043] figure 1 A schematic side view of a station 2 of a textile machine 1 , in this embodiment an automatic winder, for producing cross-wound bobbins is shown.

[0044] As is known, such an automatic winder 1 has between its end frames (not shown) a number of such identical stations 2 arranged next to each other, at which stations the bobbins are unwound, as in The bobbin 9 produced on the ring spinning machine (not shown) located upstream in the production process is rewound into a large package cross-wound bobbin 15 . After completion, the cross-wound bobbins 15 are transferred by a separately operated maintenance unit (also not shown) to a bobbin conveyor 21 along the length of the machine.

[0045] Such an automatic winding machine 1 usually also has a central control unit 11 which is connected, for example via a machine bus 16 , to the station computers 29 of the individual stations 2 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a yarn splicing device (10) for a workstation (2) of a textile machine (1) producing cross-wound bobbins. The yarn splicing device (10) includes a yarn splicing prismoid (34)and a yarn feeder (38), wherein the yarn splicing prismoid (34) is fastened to an air distributor (18) and is provided with a yarn receiving channel (35) which can receive compressed air. The yarn feeder is arranged at a distance from the yarn splicing prismoid (34) and is limited-rotatably installed. According to the invention, there is a yarn guiding trough (46) for receiving yarn headers of upper yarns (31) and lower yarns (32) in the zone of the yarn splicing prismoid (34). A tunnel outlet (48) is arranged at each outlet side of the yarn receiving channel (35) of the yarn splicing prismoid(34). Each outlet (48) is provided with an accommodating hole (30) which is used for holding an opening small tube (17).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a yarn splicing device for a station of a textile machine for the manufacture of cross-wound bobbins, comprising a yarn splicing prism and a yarn feeder, the yarn splicing prism being able to be fastened on an air distribution element and having an acceptable compression An air yarn-joining channel, the yarn feeder is spaced from the yarn-joining prism and installed in a limited rotation manner. Background technique [0002] Such a splicing device is especially used if, after a winding interruption, such as after a yarn break or after a controlled yarn clearer cut-off, two yarn ends should be combined by air flow to produce an almost yarn-like piecing On the station of the automatic winding machine. [0003] For this reason, such a yarn splicing device not only has a yarn splicing prism that includes a yarn splicing channel that can accept air pressure, but is also equipped with a device that can accurately cut the two yarn en...
