The coupler is characterized in that the coupler includes an upper layer metal cover plate anda lower layer coupling network; the lower layer coupling network includes a metal plate and metal needle structures which are periodically distributed; through the periodically-distributed metal needle structures, an electromagnetic wave is limited to be spread in a waveguide so as to avoid a gap wave leakage problem, and a traditional metal waveguide is simulated and losses are low; an air gap isarranged between the upper layer metal cover plate and the periodical metal needle structures; and the metal plate of the lower layer coupling network is provided with an input port, an output port,a matching needle and a coupling network port connected to the matching needle, and the matching needle is connected to the input or output port.
