Problems solved by technology

[0004] At present, most of the common brachial plexus injury models are brachial plexus root avulsion, which is a preganglionic injury and does not leave a residual root, so there is no suitable model at this stage to evaluate the functional status of the residual root

Embodiment Construction

[0024] The technical solutions of the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments. The figures and embodiments described are only examples and do not limit the invention.

[0025] In an embodiment of the present invention, the construction of the rat brachial plexus injury model with retained stumps, and the functional assessment of the stumps and their corresponding spinal motor neurons specifically include the following steps:

[0026] Step 1: Construct the model;

[0027] Step 2: After the modeling is completed, conduct a general assessment of the experimental rats;

[0028] Step 3: Nerve stump sampling and histological evaluation; and

[0029] Step 4: Spinal cord sampling and histological evaluation.

[0030] Specifically, the purpose of step 1 is to simulate the mechanism of clinical upper brachial plexus injury and perform animal modeling. In an embodiment of the present invention,...

Abstract

The invention discloses a construction method of residual root model of rat brachial plexus injury and an evaluation method of a residual root function of the rat brachial plexus injury. The construction method and the evaluation method mentioned above include the steps of preparing a rat nerve residual root model, conducting gross anatomical observation, conducting spinal cord extraction and histological evaluation, and conducting spinal cord extraction and histological evaluation, wherein the preparation of the rat nerve residual root model includes the steps of making a right-sided arc incision through a dorsal approach, cutting skin, shallow and deep muscles in order, using a small pull hook to pull a right shoulder blade to one side and expose entire right brachial plexus, continuingnerve root division towards the proximal end under a microscope until five nerve roots are completely exposed, simulating a clinical injury mechanism, using microscopic hemostats to fix proximal nerveroots and corresponding surrounding muscle tissues one by one, using hemostats to pull the nerve roots at a far end, and forming residual roots of the nerve roots after pulling; the spinal cord extraction and histological evaluation includes the steps of detecting expression levels of neurofilament protein NF-200 and myelin scattering protein S-100 in the residual roots, axon diameter, the numberof axons and myelin sheath thickness.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the establishment of a rat brachial plexus root injury model and a method for evaluating the function of the residual root by simulating the clinical injury mechanism. Background technique [0002] Brachial plexus injury is a disabling disease. Epidemiological studies have found that its incidence is increasing year by year, accounting for about 1.2% of the total trauma, and supraclavicular brachial plexus injury accounts for 62%. Surgical repair is often required, especially for the whole arm. Plexus nerve injury is one of the most serious injuries of the upper limbs, with a poor prognosis, and it has brought huge blows and losses to the patients themselves, their families and even the whole society in terms of psychology and economy. At present, the treatment of brachial plexus injury mainly adopts methods such as nerve transplantation, nerve transposition and free functional muscle transplantation. Although it can restore c...
