Abstract

The invention relates to a lithium battery and a battery case thereof. The battery case comprises an inner case and an outer case which are concentrically arranged, two cover plates and two electrodeassemblies. The inner case is accommodated in the outer case, the two cover plates are in sealed connection with edges of openings at two ends of the outer case to seal the openings at the two ends ofthe outer case, and the inner case is clamped between the two cover plates. A cell of the lithium battery adopts an annular structure and sleeves the inner case, and when the lithium battery works, the heat in the hollow cell can be significantly reduced. Besides, the inner case is contacted with the inside of the cell, so that a heat conducting role can be played. Therefore, heat produced duringworking of the cell can be quickly conducted to the cover plates at two ends through the inner case and further emitted. The lithium battery can reduce heat in the cell on one hand and accelerate emission of heat in the cell on the other hand. Thus, the heat dissipation of the lithium battery and the battery case thereof is effectively improved.
