Abstract

The invention relates to a welding method of a silver-tungsten electrode. A silver-molybdenum head made from a silver-tungsten material and a cupper base prepared from pure copper or a copper alloy are welded to the silver-molybdenum electrode. The welding method comprises the following steps: cleaning a to-be-welded surface; carrying out butt joint and clamping the to-be-welded surface coated with a brazing mixture, wherein the to-be-welded surface is horizontal; smearing a stop-off agent to a peripheral weld joint of the to-be-welded surface to partition the weld joint to an exhaust area which accounts for 25-40% and a solder adding area which accounts for 15-30%, wherein the weld joint positions of the solder adding area and the exhaust area are opposite; and packaging a to-be-welded piece and a clamp in high frequency induction heating equipment, placing a proper amount of solder in the solder adding area, quickly heating the solder till the solder is melted, adjusting the induction current to insulate, shutting down the heating equipment till all the exhaust area has the melted solder, and carrying out cooling to obtain the silver-tungsten electrode. According to the method, the stop-off agent inhibits flowing of the melted solder at the peripheral weld joint, the melted solder flows in from the solder adding area and flows out from the exhaust area to extrude gas in gaps,so that the problem of exhausting of gas in gaps when a large specification silver-tungsten electrode is brazed is solved. The brazed rate is improved obviously, reaching 80% or above.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of welding technology, and in particular relates to a welding method for silver-tungsten electrodes. Background technique [0002] Silver tungsten material has good arc corrosion resistance and electrical and thermal conductivity, and is widely used in electrical switches and electrodes. Silver tungsten materials are usually prepared by powder metallurgy process, the process is complicated and the cost is high, but as long as it has a certain thickness, it can meet the requirements of high temperature resistance, wear resistance and arc corrosion resistance during use. [0003] The cost of copper or copper alloy is lower than that of silver-tungsten materials, and it has good electrical and thermal conductivity, which can ensure the current conduction, heat transfer and heat dissipation of the electrode. [0004] Therefore, when preparing the electrode, the silver tungsten material is made into a sheet or block silve...
