The measuring system comprises a 1053 mm laser unit, a measuring light path which iserected along emergent laser of the laser unit, a frequency doubling crystal motion control device which is arranged on the measuring light path, a crystal autocollimator used for crystal collimatingand a laser autocollimator used for light path collimating, and at least four calorimeters used for measuring laser energy. The measuring method mainly adopts the measuring system and comprises the following steps: laser light path collimating, laser transmission coefficient calibrating, to-be-measured crystal collimating, to-be-measured second harmonic generation optimal matching position measuring, to-be-measured third harmonic generation crystal maximal conversion efficiency measuring, translation measuring and full-aperture third harmonic generation crystal maximal conversion efficiency measuring. With the adoption of the scheme, quick on-line measuring for frequency doubling conversion efficiency is realized; and moreover, the measuring system is compact in light path, is small in occupied space, is relatively low in cost, is high in measuring precision, is convenient and feasible in operation, and is time-saving and efficient.
