The dielectric resonator antenna includes an antenna body and a metamaterial panel; the antenna body includes a dielectric resonator and a dielectric substrate, wherein the dielectric resonator is disposed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate; the metamaterial panel is disposed directly above the dielectric resonator; the metamaterial panel is set to be an array which at least covers the dielectric substrate; and the upper surface and lower surface of the metamaterial panel are both provided with a plurality of cross-shaped copper sheet structures. Thus, the metamaterial panel is arranged on the basis of the antenna body, so that the dielectric resonator antenna can have both high gain and high bandwidth.
