Abstract

The invention discloses an EP-NSA algorithm-based detection method for a large-scale MIMO system. The Neumann series is introduced, the matrix approximate inversion of a covariance matrix update formula in the iterative update of the EP algorithm is implemented; a matrix is decomposed into a diagonal matrix and a non-diagonal matrix; the matrix inversion operation is replaced by the multiplicationand accumulation of the diagonal matrix and the non-diagonal matrix; and therefore, the complexity of the iterative update of the EP is greatly reduced. According to the method, main factors affecting the convergence of the improved EP algorithm are analyzed; an antenna configuration and the corresponding Neumann series to which the improved EP algorithm is applied are determined; and simulationresults show that the performance of the improved EP algorithm is not lost almost, and the computational complexity and processing delay of the improved EP algorithm are significantly reduced.
