Embodiments of the invention provide a driving method and device of a color changing assembly, the color changing assembly and electronic equipment. The color changing assembly is arranged on the electronic equipment. The color changing assembly comprises a first substrate and a second substrate which are oppositely arranged; a liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; and the liquid crystal layer comprises liquid crystal molecules and pigment molecules. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a first alternating current signal, wherein a working frequency of the first alternating current signal is a first working frequency; driving the color changing assembly by the first alternating current signal to enable the liquid crystal molecules andthe pigment molecules of the color changing assembly to deflect for a preset angle; and when the liquid crystal molecules and the pigment molecules of the color changing assembly need to maintain deflection for the preset angle, driving the color changing assembly by a second alternating current signal, wherein a working frequency of the second alternating current signal is a second working frequency, and the second working frequency is lower than the first working frequency. The power consumption of the electrochromic assembly can be reduced.
