When the robot is unloaded, it can pass through the narrow workspace smoothly by changing its own structure. The variable structure transporting robot of the invention processes the surrounding environment information through a multi-sensor information fusion technology, and the embedded system thereof is realized by adopting a state machine mechanism. Its motion control decision can be improved gradually by reinforcement learning. As that chassis adopt an X-shaped structure, the variable-structure conveying robot of the invention can rotate around the cent of the vehicle body and can realize the axial movement of the vehicle axle. The invention can conveniently and quickly realize obstacle avoidance in a narrow environment, and can recognize and carry goods of different sizes.
