The method includes the following steps that firstly, adsorption of the ageratum conyzoides to cadmium is proved; and secondly, operability of the ageratum conyzoides in actual repairing engineering of the cadmium contaminated farmland soil is proved. The method for repairing the cadmiumcontaminated farmland soil through the ageratum conyzoides has the advantages that experimental data show that both an enrichment coefficient BF and a transport coefficient TF of the ageratum conyzoides to the cadmium exceed 1, and in a field experiment, the removal rate of the ageratum conyzoides repairing the cadmiumcontaminated soil under the condition that three crops of theageratum conyzoidesare planted per acre is 13.2%-15.6%.
