Abstract

The invention discloses a method for evaluating an on-line state of a thin film capacitor. The invention aims to solve the problems of complex algorithm, small application range and incapability of anonline evaluation in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps of: step A, testing temperature characteristic and frequency characteristic of a capacitance C of the thin film capacitorwith specific specifications and brands, and fitting a mathematical function; step B, extracting voltage ripple and current ripple information without direct current bias from the thin film capacitor;step C, calculating the capacitance C by utilizing a relationship between the voltage ripple and the current ripple of the thin film capacitor; and step D, comparing a C value obtained in the step Cwith the C value of the same temperature and the same frequency obtained by using the function fitted in the step A to evaluate a health state of the thin film capacitor. The safety and the stabilityof a system are improved by monitoring the health state of the thin film capacitor in real time and carrying out a corresponding replacement treatment in time.
