Abstract

The modeling is divided into five parts, specifically, a total energy consumption model of a wire cut electrical discharge machining machine tool, a relation model of surface roughness and machining electrical parameters, a calculation model of the size of a removedworkpiece, a relation model of a material removal rate of a pulse system and the machining parameters, and a relation model of average power of the pulse system and the material removal rate of the pulse system are established, and finally, the total energy consumption model of the wire cut electrical discharge machining machine tool is obtained by combining the five parts. According to the model,machining energy consumption and machining time can be accurately predicted through the energy consumption prediction model in the process design stage, the setting of the machining parameters can beoptimally selected before producing and machining, so that the aims of finally reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency are achieved, and the model has certain theoretical and practical significance in a wire cut electrical discharge machining industry.
