Abstract

The invention discloses a method for manufacturing a metal matrix composite. The method comprises the steps that a ceramic solution is prepared; a plurality of metal powder grains are added into the ceramic solution; ceramic coatings are formed on the surfaces of the metal powder grains by the ceramic solution through a chemical synthesis process; and through a heat treatment process, the ceramiccoatings are subjected to nucleation and crystallization to form a plurality of ceramic particles uniformly distributed on the surfaces of the metal powder grains, wherein the ceramic particles are bonded to the surfaces of the metal powder grains in an ionic bond bonding mode.
