Benefits of technology

This technology allows for efficient and precise machining on thin sheets of material like plates or films used in electronic devices without damaging them during their fabrication processes. By focusing only onto specific areas where they will break down (the cut) rather than burning it up all over), these methods result in more accurate results compared to previous techniques which resulted in smaller parts being scrapped off beforehand. Additionally, the resulting slices have fewer defective ones due to less damage caused when breaking through layers of materials during handling. Overall, this new technique makes producing high quality glass items faster and easier while reducing costs associated therewith.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the accuracy and reliability of machining fragile materials like glass during manufacturing without increasing complexity or cost associated therewith. Current techniques involve splitting up larger fragments from smaller ones before they reach their final destination, resulting in wasteful laborious work that requires expensive equipment.

Abstract

The invention provides a laser processing method for glass. The method comprises the following steps: selecting a corresponding laser cutting head and adjusting a laser path to confirm the focal pointof a laser cut glass sample; selecting proper laser cutting parameters according to the type and thickness of the glass sample; generating a cutting drawing through software, wherein the glass samplemoves along the drawing path through a linear motor to be cut by laser so as to obtain a bulky glass cut sample corresponding to the drawing shape; and then carrying out glass post-treatment processes such as cleaning, intensifying and silk printing on the whole bulky glass cut sample and finally obtaining a small glass product of a certain shape by a special cracking way. The glass laser processing method for glass increases the yield and the preparation efficiency of the glass product greatly, and also lowers the manufacturing and designing difficulty and cost of a small clamp of a laser processing machine table.
