Abstract

The invention relates to a metallographic test method for identifying electro-galvanized and hot-galvanized steel products. The test method comprises the following steps: (1) intercepting a specimen of which the detection surface is vertical to a covering layer, then mounting the specimen by a cold mounting method, and performing grinding and polishing sequentially to obtain a prepared sample; (2)placing the prepared sample under an optical microscope or an electron microscope, firstly observing at low magnification, then gradually increasing the magnification factor, observing at high magnification, and performing energy spectrum analysis on a plating close to a substrate according to the GB / T 17359 standard by detecting the chemical composition of the plating through an energy dispersive spectrometer along with auxiliary analysis; and (3) judging that a steel product is a hot-galvanized steel product if a two-layer structure can be clearly observed from the section and a clear zinc-iron alloy layer exists at the junction of the plating and the substrate, or judging that the steel product is an electro-galvanized steel product if a one-layer structure is observed. Through adoption of the method disclosed by the invention, mix-up of galvanized steel products on the market and the behavior of selling seconds at best quality prices can be effectively avoided so as to standardizethe market.
