[0053] exist figure 1 In the first part of , an FSH test strip 10 is shown, on which a urine sample is applied. The first end of the test strip 10 is soaked in the urine in the cup 12 for about 5 seconds. Thereafter, the test strip 10 was developed for up to 15 minutes. Subsequently, the device reads the test strip 10 to estimate the hormone level for this given day. Test strip 10 includes a detection zone 14 that indicates the presence and concentration of FSH in a urine sample. The test strip 10 also includes a control zone 16 into which the test sample penetrates to indicate that the test strip 10 has been successfully prepared. The test strip 10 also includes a blank area 18 on which no test sample is provided.

Abstract

According to a first aspect of the invention, the present invention provides a device for estimation of an ovulation date, comprising a camera, configured to obtain colour data of successive FSH teststrips and a processor, configured to evaluate the colour data obtained by the camera. The processor is configured to determine a concentration value of each successive FSH test strip based on the data of the camera and to output a signal, if the processor determines that a first FSH downward trend of the FSH test strip values is occurring in the successive FSH test strips.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a device for reading and interpreting FSH test strips for estimating ovulation date, comprising: a camera configured to obtain color data of successive test strips; and a camera configured to evaluate the color data obtained by the camera processor. The invention also relates to a method of estimating the date of ovulation. Background technique [0002] It is known to use test strips to estimate a woman's ovulation date. Exemplary test strips are disclosed in EP 0291 194 B2, US 9,206,254 B2 and WO 2016 142 610 A1. A woman's ovulation date has traditionally been estimated using luteinizing hormone (LH) test strips, in which the urine contains the LH to be tested. These test strips are configured such that a urine sample is provided at one end of the test strip. Urine permeates through the strip material along with the analyte LH. The sample enters the detection zone in the test strip. In the detection zone, specifi...
