Abstract

A chain extension method for PCT (polycaprolactam) comprises the following steps: a special assistant for polyester tackifying is added to the PCT, and is uniformly dispersed in the PCT, a functional group contained on the surface of the assistant reacts with -OH or -COOH at the end of the molecular chain of the PCT to realize chain extension of the PCT. The special assistant for polyester tackifying is an inorganic nonmetallic particle containing a functional group and a short-chain alkyl group at the surface, obtained by modifying the surface of an inorganic nonmetallic particle with a silane coupling agent; the silane coupling agent is composed of at least one silane coupling agent having the functional group at the tail end and at least one silane coupling agent having the short-chain alkyl group at the tail end, the functional group is a group capable of reacting with the -OH or -COOH at the end of the molecular chain of the PCT, and the number of carbon atoms in the short-chain alkyl group is 3 to 8; and the surface of the inorganic nonmetallic particle is a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group, and the particle size is 10-200 nm.
