A goat whole genome DNA to be detected is used as a template, and partial fragments of the goat DNMT3B gene are amplified by PCR; then agarose gel electrophoresis is performed, according to an electrophoreticthe result, genotypes of a goat DNMT3B gene NC_030820.1:g.61500477_61500478 locus 11-bp insertion / deletion polymorphism locus are identified. A significant correlation exists between the different genotypes of the 11-bp insertion / deletion polymorphism locus andthe litter size traits of Northern Shaanxi white cashmere goat, and a DNA marker exists to improve the litter size traits. The method for detecting the goat DNMT3B gene insertion / deletion polymorphismcan be applied to goat molecular marker assisted selection breeding to accelerate the establishment of excellent goat genetic resource population.
