Abstract

The invention discloses a video image stabilization method based on feature tracking and grid path motion. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, detecting feature points of a video framethrough an SIFT algorithm; carrying out KLT algorithm feature tracking matching on the detected SIFT feature points; estimating an affine transformation matrix between adjacent frames by using an RANSAC algorithm according to the matched feature points; and dividing the video frame into uniform grids, selecting one grid in the uniform grids, and multiplying the affine matrix between adjacent frames by the motion path of the camera of the previous frame so as to calculate the motion trail of the video. And optimizing and smoothing a plurality of grid paths by minimizing an energy function. Andfinally, calculating a compensation matrix between adjacent frames according to the relationship between the original camera path and the smooth camera path, and performing geometric transformation oneach frame by utilizing the compensation matrix so as to obtain a stable frame sequence. According to the invention, the camera path can be accurately calculated, and the jittered video is more stable.
