Embodiment Construction

[0031] Figure 1A A control circuit 100 for suppressing differential mode electromagnetic interference signals arranged between a power supply line and a power return line in one embodiment of the present invention is shown. exist Figure 1A In this example, a control circuit 100 is arranged between a power supply circuit 10 (denoted "power supply") and a load circuit 20 (denoted "electronic circuit"). The control circuit 100 has an input connected to the load circuit 20 and an output connected to the power supply circuit 10 . In this embodiment, the power supply circuit 10 includes a diode rectifier bridge operatively connected to an AC power source (not shown).

[0032] The control circuit 100 comprises a variable gain filter circuit 101 arranged to receive at an input of the control circuit 100 an electromagnetic interference signal voltage v n The form of electromagnetic interference signal, and the signal is provided to the controlled voltage source 102. The variable ga...

Abstract

A control circuit for suppressing electromagnetic interference signal. The control circuit has an input and an output. The control circuit includes a variable gain filter circuit with a first gain factor that is variable. The variable gain filter circuit is arranged to receive a signal indicative of an electromagnetic interference signal and output a signal to a controlled signal source with a second gain factor. The control circuit also has a controller operably connected with the variable gain filter circuit. The controller is arranged to receive a signal indicative of an output signal at the output of the control circuit and output a control signal to the variable gain filter circuit based on the received signal so as to control the first gain factor to reduce or minimize the electromagnetic interference signal.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for suppressing electromagnetic interference signals conducted in signal lines or power lines of an electric circuit. Background technique [0002] Electromagnetic interference suppression circuits are known and are commonly used to suppress conducted electromagnetic interference signals present on signal lines or power supply lines. These conducted EMI signals can be divided into differential mode EMI signals (conducted in opposite directions on the power supply and power return lines) and common mode EMI signals (conducted in the same direction on the power supply and power return lines) . [0003] In theory, EMI suppression circuits can generate suppression signals that can reduce or even eliminate unwanted EMI signals. For best rejection performance, the resulting rejection signal should be the negative (eg, equal in magnitude and out of phase) of the EMI signal so that the two always completely cancel each other...
