The information management method comprises the steps that the state of a server interface of the resource server is monitored; when the state of the server interface is changed, modifying corresponding node information in adatabase of the box BMC; wherein the change of the state of the server interface comprises that the server interface is connected with the universal server, or the server interface is disconnected with the universal server, or the information of the universal server connected with the server interface is changed. According to the method, the database is arranged in the resource server, and the information of all the general servers in butt joint with the server interface of the resource server is input into the database, so that technical support is provided for the general servers to know the resource state of the whole resource server, the upgrading efficiency of the box BMC is improved, and the user experience is optimized.
