Abstract

The invention relates to a load state detection device which comprises a detection unit, a rectifying and filtering unit, an amplification unit and a comparison unit. The detection unit comprises a current comparator, the primary side is used for receiving a main current of a power supply device, and a sensing current is correspondingly output at the secondary side. The sensing current is converted into a voltage by the rectifying and filtering unit and the amplification unit. The comparison unit compares the voltage with a reference voltage, whether the output load of the power supply deviceenters a light load state or not can be judged by the comparison result, if yes, the comparison unit outputs a light load signal, and the light load signal can be used for other control applications,for example, controlling the power supply device to reduce power consumption so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving.
