Abstract

According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is the liquid crystal panel provided with a first substrate, a second substrate disposedso as to face the first substrate with a gap therebetween, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is formed from a nematicliquid crystal composition which contains at least one liquid crystal material and a phase change inhibitor that is formed from a nitroxyl radical-type hindered amine compound and inhibits the phase change of the liquid crystal composition, and which exhibits positive dielectric anisotropy as a whole.
