The impeller assembly method comprises the steps that a hub is separated froma transportation tool and then hoisted to an assembly station of a platform deck; the hub is fixed to a hub support transfer plate; bolts and rubber rings are screwed into flange bolt holes; a variable-pitch debugging box is placed near the hub and connected to a variable-pitch motor through a power line and a control handle; a sealant is applied to blade root flanges of three blades, the three blades are hoisted by using a crane, the blade root flanges of the three blades are in contact with a hub blade root bearing flange, and then the three blades are connected to the hub; after the impeller is assembled, the variable-pitch debugging box is disassembled; and a hub front end outlet frame and a cover plate component are arranged, and the exposed bolts of the hub are sealed through the sealant.
