Abstract

According to one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for providing Parkinson's disease information using a nerve melanin image may comprise: an image receiving unit for obtaining a magnetic resonance imaging image for capturing a brain of a patient; an image preprocessing unit that preprocesses the obtained magnetic resonance imaging image so that a nerve melanin region serving as an image biomarker for Parkinson's disease can be observed; an image processing unit that classifies a first image including the neural melanin region by analyzing the preprocessed magnetic resonance imaging image, and detects the neural melanin region from the classified first image; and an image analysis unit for diagnosing whether or not the patient has Parkinson's disease by analyzing whether or not the detected nerve melanin region is normal.
