The invention provides a business data processing method and a proxy server, the proxy server is used for storing part of data in a source database, the part of data is stored in a first storage space and a second storage space respectively, and the business data processing method comprises the following steps: receiving a data processing request sent by a business system, wherein the data processing request is used for requesting to process to-be-processed data; when the to-be-processed data belongs to the partial data, determining a target storage space according to the states of the first storage space and the second storage space, the state of the target storage space being a read state, and the states of the first storage space and the second storage space being different; reading the to-be-processed data from the target storage space, processing the to-be-processed data, and feeding back a processing result to the service system; and when the to-be-processed data does not belong to the partial data, sending the data processing request to the source database.
