The identification method comprises the following steps of collecting smell fingerprints of turmeric traditional Chinese medicines such as radix curcumae, turmeric, rhizoma wenyujin concisum and curcuma zedoary by using the electronic nose; extracting the maximum response value of each sensor in the smell fingerprint as a characteristic index; constructing a LightGBM classification model based on the maximum response value of the electronic nose, optimizing the number of decision trees, the learning rate, the maximum depth, a first-order regular term coefficient, a second-order regular term coefficient and a loss function of the LightGBM classification model by using a grid search method, and evaluating performance of the model through ten-fold cross validation; and finally, detecting a to-be-detected sample by utilizing the classification model.
