[0022] Specific embodiments according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0023] First, the first embodiment will be explained. E.g, figure 1 The battery system 1 shown in is a device that supplies obtained power by reusing a deteriorated battery.

[0024] Such as figure 1 As shown, the battery system 1 includes a battery pack 2 , a battery control unit 3 , a power converter 4 , a current measurement unit 8 , a system controller 5 (a discharge current limiting unit), a charger 6 and a load 7 . The battery system 1 converts the voltage and frequency of power from the battery pack 2 via the power converter 4 , and then supplies (discharges) power to a load 7 . The battery system 1 converts the voltage and frequency of power from the charger 6 via the power converter 4 , and then supplies power to the battery pack 2 to charge the battery pack 2 .

[0025] Such as figure 2 As shown, the battery pack 2 includes a plu...

[0059] Next, we will refer to Figure 5A second embodiment of the present invention is described. exist Figure 5 , with what has been described in the first embodiment figure 2 The same parts of the illustrated battery control unit 3 are given the same reference numerals, and a detailed description thereof will be omitted. The main difference between the first embodiment and the second embodiment is the configuration of the battery pack 2 . In the second embodiment, the battery pack 2 includes a first assembled battery BP1 and a second assembled battery BP2 connected in parallel to each other. Each of the first assembled battery BP1 and the second assembled battery BP2 includes batteries 21 to 23 .

[0060] In this embodiment, for simplicity of description, the battery pack 2 of assembled batteries including two systems of the first assembled battery BP1 and the second assembled battery BP2 will be described, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The battery...

[0072] Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. Since the configuration of the battery system 1 of the third embodiment is the same as that of the second embodiment, a detailed description thereof will be omitted here.

[0073] Next, we will refer to Figure 7 The operation of the third embodiment is described. exist Figure 7 , with what has been described in the second embodiment Image 6 The same parts in the steps shown are given the same reference numerals, and a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0074] The main difference between the second embodiment and the third embodiment is that step S21 is performed instead of step S13. In the second embodiment described above, in the first bypass process, the control unit 34 sequentially switches the batteries 21 to 23 to the non-connected state based on the CCVs of the batteries 21 to 23 . As shown in the above equation (1), CCV varies according to the internal resistance R and the d...

Abstract

A battery control unit includes a switching unit, a system controller, and a control unit. The switching unit switches between a connection state in which the corresponding battery is discharged and a non-connection state in which the corresponding battery is not discharged. The system controller limits a discharge current flowing through the battery in the connection state so as not to exceed a minimum discharge current limitation value that is smallest among discharge current limitation values. The control unit switches to the non-connection state in order from the battery having the minimum discharge current limitation value before the discharge current limitation unit limits the discharge current. Further, the control unit switches all the batteries to the connection state after the batteries in the connection state becomes one, and then switch the battery to the non-connection state in order from the battery determined to reach a discharge termination state.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a battery control unit and a battery system. Background technique [0002] There is a battery system configured by connecting a plurality of batteries in series. Deterioration of multiple batteries varies due to, for example, changes in manufacturing or changes in the operating environment. For example, a battery near a heat source deteriorates rapidly, while a battery far from the heat source deteriorates slowly. [0003] For this reason, a battery that has deteriorated during charging and discharging first reaches a charging and discharging termination state. In this case, even if other batteries have remaining capacity, charging and discharging must be stopped, and the battery capacity cannot be exhausted. Therefore, a system has been proposed in which batteries that have reached the end-of-charge state are bypassed and disconnected from the charging circuit, and charging of batteries that have not reached the end-of-char...
