[0036] Figure 1 shows a casting system for casting copper strip by using a mold for continuous casting, also called "casting system using a moving mold". After the copper has been melted, the melt passes from the furnace into a tundish 1 , which is equipped with a nozzle 2 in this example. Depending on the width of the copper strip to be cast, the casting nozzle 2 can have several identical immersion tubes 6 , for example 6 , 8 or 10 , which are arranged next to each other at a predetermined casting angle of approximately 10°.
