The heating medium may also include a gas that reacts catalytically in the fuel cell to produce heat. Systems and methods for expediting fuel cell system start up are provided. Methods for shutting down a fuel cell system are also described that reduce the amount of moisture and gases in the reformer and in one or more fuel cell components. One hydrogen efficient fuel cell system described herein transports hydrogen to an inlet of a burner. The hydrogen may comprise unused hydrogen from a fuel cell and / or hydrogen produced in a reformer. The burner comprises a catalyst that facilitates production of heat in the presence of the hydrogen.

The liquid crystal composition provided by the invention not only has characteristics like a broader nematic temperature range, a high resistivity, a high charge holding rate, and a low viscosity, but also has a faster response speed and good cryogenic storage stability. When the liquid crystal composition is applied to a liquid crystal display, particularly a display of the TFT-LCD mode, the display effect of the liquid crystal display can be improved significantly.

The proposed design reduces the capital cost of a gasification plant by eliminating the need for soot recovery and recycle system. A gas outlet is formed in the bottom of the shell. The invention further provides the method for preparing the large-size high-quality graphene single crystal on the SiC substrate. By means of the device and method, the migration rate of the high-quality graphene crystal prepared on the SiC substrate is higher than that of graphene prepared through a SiC high-temperature pyrolysis method by 1-2 orders of magnitudes.
