[0038] Although the tuner device shown in FIG. 1 is a dual-tuner type in which each tuner is a double-conversion type, this is for illustration only. The present technology can be applied to a tuner device including a single tuner with two or more frequency conversion stages. Furthermore, the invention can be applied to a device comprising any number of tuners, each of which has two or more conversion stages, and can have the same number or a different number of conversion stages. Also, although the tuner shown in Figure 1 provides a standard output TV IF, these techniques can be applied to tuners that provide any output frequency, including zero-IF (ZIF), near-zero-IF (NZIF), low-IF, and high-mid frequency. These tuners can be used to receive signals distributed by cable distribution systems or terrestrial or satellite broadcast systems.
