Abstract

The present invention provides an optical unit including a light source, the optical unit converting an invisible light into a visible light, and a light recycling member recycling the invisible light leaked from the light source as the visible light. The light recycling member is disposed at an advancing path of the visible light. Advantageously, the optical unit may enhance an amount of the visible light emitted from the light source to enhance brightness of images generated from a display apparatus, thereby improving display quality of the display apparatus.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an optical assembly, a method of manufacturing a light recycling element of the optical assembly, and a display device including the optical assembly. In particular, the present invention relates to an optical assembly capable of improving luminance, a method of manufacturing a light recycling element used in the optical assembly, and a display device including the optical assembly. Background technique [0002] Various display devices have been developed, such as liquid crystal display devices, organic light emitting display devices, and plasma display panels. [0003] A liquid crystal display device includes liquid crystals. The liquid crystal has an electrical characteristic that the alignment of the liquid crystal changes corresponding to an electric field applied thereto, and an optical characteristic that the light transmittance of the liquid crystal changes corresponding to the alignment of the liquid crystal. ...
