Embodiment 1

[0012] A kind of preparation method of molecular sieve type activated carbon, is according to the ratio of coal powder and coal tar or wood tar is (1.0-3.0): 1 weight ratio, after stirring at 80-150 ℃, extruding into granules, forming The particles are hardened at 100-250°C for more than 1 hour, and then the shaped particles are heated to 250-500°C for pre-carbonization for more than 2 hours. Activated carbon at 750-950°C for 2-10 hours to make molecular sieve-like activated carbon.

Embodiment 2

[0014] A method for preparing molecular sieve activated carbon is based on the ratio (weight ratio) of coal powder to coal tar (or wood tar) being 1:1. After stirring evenly at 80°C, extrude into granules, harden the shaped granules at 100°C for more than 1 hour, then pre-carbonize at 300°C for more than 2 hours, and finally, the activator is steam: carbon dioxide = 1:1 ( weight ratio), activate the treated material at 750°C for 2 hours to make molecular sieve-like activated carbon.

Embodiment 3

[0016] A method for preparing molecular sieve activated carbon is based on the ratio (weight ratio) of coal powder to coal tar (or wood tar) being 2:1. After stirring at 100°C, extrude into granules, harden the shaped granules at 200°C for more than 1 hour, then pre-carbonize at 400°C for more than 2 hours, and finally, the activator is steam: carbon dioxide = 2:1 ( weight ratio), the treated material was activated at 850°C for 5 hours to make molecular sieve-like activated carbon.

Abstract

The preparation process of molecular sieve-like active carbon includes mixing coal powder with coal tar or wood tar at 80-150 deg.c, extruding the mixture into grain, hardening the grain for over 1 hr, heating at 250-500 deg.c for over 2 hr to precarbonize, and final activating with activating agent comprising water vapor and CO2 in the weight ratio of 1.0-5.0 at 750-950 deg.c for 2-10 hr to obtain the molecular sieve-like active carbon. The prepared active carbon has high adsorption effect, highly concentrated pore structure and antiwear strength over 96 %, and may be used in the purification of high purity gas.
