Embodiment Construction

[0018] Systems exist that use a gas to fluidize the powder and transport the powder pneumatically, for example through a tube. However, this system has a problem when toner or the like powder having a particle size of 20 μm or less, especially 10 μm or less, is fluidized and packed in a toner container. In this case, the powder needs to be prevented from flying and the gas needs to be vented from the container after filling. Although a device meeting this requirement can be installed in a factory or similar large-scale facility, it is not suitable for general offices.

[0019] Toner or similar fine powders have a very large surface area to volume ratio, and in many cases they stick to each other, so they need to be loosened, for example by means of a stirrer, before use. Loose powder mainly reflects the surface condition of the block that is ground to make the powder independent of the specific gravity of the block and thus continues Brownian motion. As is known from experie...

Abstract

The powder filling device of the present invention can uniformly feed gas into the powder, thereby fluidizing the powder with a minimum amount of gas. The gas transports the fluidized powder to the bottom of containers with small ports or complex structures. Gases in the powder introduced into the container are released through the powder bed between the nozzle and the mouth. The device thus enables easy, dense packing of powder in the container without causing the powder to fly out of the container. Furthermore, the device is small, easy to carry, easy to operate, and therefore can be operated by anyone, anywhere.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of the No. 02107175.6 Chinese invention patent application filed on March 13, 2002, entitled "Powder Filling Method and Device". technical field [0002] The present invention relates to a method of filling a powder having a particle size of 20 μm or less in a container having a small mouth or a small volume, or a container in which the powder cannot be filled by gravity, and an apparatus thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of directly filling toner in a toner cartridge for an image forming apparatus or a developing assembly included in the image forming apparatus and an apparatus thereof. Background technique [0003] For example, a rotary valve, an auger, and an auger are among the components that are often used to fill powder into containers. After a container has been placed under such a packing part, the packing part works to increase the bulk density of the powder and to deliver the p...
