Put the weighed pulverized cottonseed into a container of 1000ml of acetone-water (4:1) extract and soak for 5h. After being irradiated in a microwave oven for 6 minutes at a power of 630W, the extract was diluted with water to precipitate yellow gossypol crystals, acidified with 95% acetic acid, concentrated and recrystallized to obtain 2.21 g of gossypol acetate.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and especial device for extracting gossypol in cotton seed by using microwave radiation, disintegrating the cotton seed firstly, then immersing in the extracting agent, extracting under radiation in the microwave macjine, diluting the extracting solution with water to educt coarse gossypol, acidifying in acetic acid, compressing, recrystallizing, sucting and getting the gossypol acetate. The invention provides a new method for extracting gossypol from cotton seed by using microwave radiation and is characterized by fast, high effective, energy saving, pollution-free and possessing concept of green chemistry. The extracted gossypol acetate is yellow crystallization, mp: 171-178 Deg C, maximum adoption in 378 nm, The extracting method is characterized by shorter time and higher extraction rate compared with traditional extracting method, and the used dissolvent can be recovered for reuse.
