Embodiment 1

[0045] Into a 2L polyethylene container were charged 100 g of the water-absorbent resin obtained in Production Example, 1 g of sodium sulfite, 0.5 g of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (content of particles up to 106 μm in diameter: 86 wt %) and 0.05 g of L-ascorbic acid. The components were mixed with a horizontal rotary mixer (manufactured by MEIWAKOGYO Co., product number: CM-3) for 1 hr at an autorotation speed of 30 rpm and a rotation speed of 30 rpm to obtain 101.5 g of a water-absorbent resin composition.

Embodiment 2

[0047] Into a 2 L polyethylene container were charged 100 g of the water-absorbent resin obtained in the same manner as in Preparation Example, 2 g of sodium sulfite, 0.7 g of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (content of particles having a particle diameter of up to 106 μm: 87 wt %) and 0.02 g of L- ascorbic acid. The components were mixed with a horizontal rotary mixer (manufactured by MEIWA KOGYO Co., product number: CM-3) for 1 hr at an autorotation speed of 30 rpm and a rotation speed of 30 rpm to obtain 102.7 g of a water-absorbent resin composition.

Embodiment 3

[0049] Into a 2 L polyethylene container were charged 100 g of the water-absorbent resin obtained in the same manner as in Production Example, 2 g of sodium bisulfite, 0.8 g of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (content of particles having a particle diameter of up to 106 μm: 88 wt %) and 0.1 g of isoascorbic acid sodium. The components were mixed with a horizontal rotary mixer (manufactured by MEIWA KOGYO Co., product number: CM-3) for 1 hr at a rotation speed of 30 rpm and a rotation speed of 30 rpm to obtain 102.9 g of a water-absorbent resin composition.

Abstract

A water-absorbing resin composition comprising a water-absorbing resin, an oxygen-containing reducing inorganic salt, an aminocarboxylic-acid-type metal chelating agent, and an organic antioxidant; an absorbent comprising the water-absorbing resin composition and hydrophilic fibers; and an absorbing article comprising a liquid-permeable sheet, a liquid-impermeable sheet, and the absorbent held therebetween. The water-absorbing resin composition is usable, e.g., in absorbing articles such as paper diapers and sanitary napkins.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a water-absorbing resin composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to a water-absorbent resin composition, and absorbents and absorbent articles in which the water-absorbent resin composition is applied. Background technique [0002] A general method of forming water-absorbent articles such as disposable diapers or sanitary napkins, comprising: placing an absorbent composed of hydrophilic fibers and a water-absorbing resin on a liquid-permeable sheet placed on the body-contacting side; side between the liquid-impermeable sheets. [0003] In recent years, absorbents, or disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, etc. in which absorbents are applied, tend to be thinner in order to achieve portability and a comfortable fit. In addition to this thinning, research is also underway to develop absorbents that contain a reduced amount of hydrophilic fibers and an increased amount of water-absorbent resin in orde...
