Hexadecyl hexadecanoate, also known as Cetyl palmitate, is the ester derived from hexadecanoic acid and hexadecanol. This white waxy solid is the primary constituent of spermaceti, the once highly prized wax found in the skull of sperm whales. Cetyl palmitate is a component of some solid lipid nanoparticles.
Hair conditioning formula with improved combability effect
The invention relates to hair conditioning compositions with a combability-improving effect, containing cetyl palmitate in combination with a conditioning agent selected from cationized polygalactomannans from Senna spp., in particular from Senna tora or Senna obtusifolia, and ethylenediamine-N,N'-disuccinic acid (salts) or at least one alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of this acid.
