95 results about "Electrostatic loudspeaker" patented technology

An electrostatic loudspeaker (ESL) is a loudspeaker design in which sound is generated by the force exerted on a membrane suspended in an electrostatic field.

An acoustic transducer, specifically an electrostatic loudspeaker (ESL) providing curvature in two directions for improved dispersion of sound waves. The compound curvature also provides a virtual focus of the propagated sound waves for accurate reproduction of musical program material recorded with standard single-point microphones. The highly directional nature of high frequency sound waves requires that a flat or cylindrical electrostatic transducer must be physically tall to allow a listener to either recline or stand. The two-axis curved structure enables a compact form of ESL to be realized, including bookshelf type loudspeakers whereas all known commercial units are comparable in height to that of a human listener. The individual curved ESL panels can also be readily combined to create larger transducer assemblies including omni-directional units. A preferred stator panel hole-geometry is included for improved high voltage operation of coated perforated metal stator panels, and methods of forming the metal panel are described. The artistic nature of the two-dimensionally curved electrostatic transducer also lends itself to other non-traditional forms such as integration into lighting fixtures and other such architectural uses.

Flexible electroacoustic combination structure, loudspeaker and manufacturing method thereof

The invention provides a flexible electroacoustic combination structure, a loudspeaker and a manufacturing method thereof. The flexible electroacoustic combination structure uses an electret as vibration membrane material, and conducting material is plated one surface of the vibration membrane material, and a fixing electrode plate is matched in parallel so as to form a main structure. A plurality of longitudinally or transversely bulged gaskets are arranged on the surface of a membrane layer of the fixing electrode plate, and the gaskets are used for supporting the vibration space of the vibration membrane. A working area of the vibration membrane is formed between adjacent gaskets, and in each working area of the vibration membrane, a gap between the fixing electrode plate and the vibration membrane is smaller than the gap of a conventional electrostatic loudspeaker structure. The gaskets between the fixing electrode plate and the vibration membrane are completed by punching with high mass production, thus an accurate space between the fixing electrode plate and the vibration membrane can be maintained so as to improve the quality of sound production. In addition, the invention also provides the loudspeaker of the flexible electroacoustic combination structure and the manufacturing method thereof.
